Funerals are presently only taking place in cemeteries or crematoriums, and with a minimal number of people present. However, we will aim on the day to offer one of the two Masses that are continuing to be said, for that intention. We’re conscious that this still limits how much a family can properly mourn their loved one. For these cases, we can plan a fuller memorial service when the restrictions are over, and with a wider number of people. We will need to fit them in with the weekday Masses and the congregation that regularly attends those. A good compromise might be to let the family have a choice of the readings and music, and use the Parish Centre for photo tables, videos, and eulogies.
